"Whenever somebody farts, whether it is heard, smelt, or smelt and heard, people will usually laugh or at least smile. While you may not particularly enjoy smelling the fart, somehow the knowledge that the smell was manufacture by the person near you makes you happy. Often a fart is heard before it is smelled, and the mere anticipation of the smell makes people laugh. Also, the sound of a fart is strangely pleasant. It is as if God chose to add pleasure in our daily lives by making our anuses into instruments when we release gas. I am a Catholic, and I cross myself and thank God every time I enjoy a fart. "
